Our Mission Statement:

To enhance the quality of life for Somali girls and boys; giving them opportunities through building education facilities and creating global awareness of the needs of Somali children.

We would like to invite you to join us to make a difference for underprivileged children in Somalia. You will help us to so we can provide free-of-charge education, sustainability and adequate shelter to orphan children in Somalia.

We strongly believe education is the key to unlocking opportunity for the children in Somalia and with your generosity today, you will be helping us move one step closer towards reaching our goal.

We are need immeditate support for paying our teachers salaries from Aug 2023 to May 2024.

We are aiming to raise over $100,000.00 for building a residence for 200 children who do not have access to adequate shelter in Somalia. A portion of the funds raised will go towards furnishing and maintenance of the facility.

Zainab had an opportunity to build a school in Somalia and so far 200 are children enrolled. The school has the capacity for 400 students if we build a boarding house for 200 children who do not have access to go the school in the surrounding communities in the town of Bo’ame, where we built the first a school.

Zainab Mohamed is the founder and the president of “Education for Somali Girls and Boys Fund” and she has a board of directors, who are nine members from the community of Red Deer. We are planning to raise funds throughout Central Alberta, across-Canada, the United States and Europe.

We would like to introduce to you the community we are making a difference in the lives of the children. The place is called "Bo’ame" which is a town in Northern Somalia. Bo’ame is an agricultural community, which raises livestock as their main way to support themselves.

Bo’ame has a very high rate of unemployment. The population is approx. 40,000 people. Families in the community often cannot afford to pay school fees because most of the schools are privately run and expensive, which means only those who can afford the high fees have access to go to school. Our “Open Door” school provides education free-of-charge to those who cannot afford regular school fees.

Zainab is visionary and she has a full heart for helping children and women. She volunteers a lot of her time with many different charities. She is an asset to the community in Red Deer and globally.

All the proceeds will be going 100% to the effort. We are a volunteer Board of Directors and have no paid employees or additional administration. We are planning to organize various events in the city of Red Deer.
