John was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in April 2012. He finished his chemotherapy in September of that year with favorable results. Shortly afterwards, he had a heart attack that required having 2 stents implanted. (His delay in returning to work was because there is scar tissue on his lymph nodes from the Hodgkins, leaving his immune system severely compromised)
He tried to return to work in August of 2014 and stayed at the job until November, when he became ill again. After several tests and doctor visits, they confirmed that the Hodgkins has returned. He will require more chemotherapy as well as radiation therapy for a tumor in his neck. They staged this recurrence as Stage1, he is still considered Stage 3 with a Stage 1 recurrence.
Our bills are mounting and there are currently two medical liens on our home, with another pending.
We have been waiting 3 1/2 years for social security to make a decision as to whether or not they will allow John to receive benefits.
Please help us so John can rest easy knowing we won't lose his childhood home, that he can have a healthy meal, not what we can get at Dollar Tree and that our utilities will not be shut off. I want his focus to be solely on himself and getting well again.
John was born and raised in Mercer County, NJ. His medical team is at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Because of their generosity and caring, John's medical needs will be taken care of this time. We are forever thankful to Dr. Abdul Mughal and his staff.
