Joe's Trip to Armenia

Donation protected
I recently posted a GoFundMe for a Computer to edit videos. I am still needing money for that computer, but I feel a greater need/desire has just come up and I hope that you can help.

I have been doing full-time ministry for some months now and it afforded me the opportunity to be flexible in my schedule. Not to mention, I'm single. So when my pastor asked me to join him in a trip to strengthen believers and make more believers for Jesus in a trip to Armenia, I was amped!

It's on short notice, but I beleive it's possible. And you can you help. The amount above is what will cove the cost of an international flight to Armenia, passport fees, and small expenses while I'm there.

So I have turned this fund-raiser for a iMac into a fundraiser to go to Armenia next month. IF YOU DONATED MONEY FOR THE COMPUTER, IT WILL STILL GO TOWARDS TO THE COMPUTER.

Here are the details.

Genesis Church has been given the opportunity to partner with believers around the world who are making disciples and planting churches. One of the most effective and strategic partnerships we have is in Armenia, a country located in Central Asia just north of Iran. There are few genuine Christ-followers in Armenia and they are isolated from the encouragement and biblical training we freely enjoy in the West. In a trip last year, we were able to train hundreds of Armenian believers in disciple making and church planting. Many of them have since started discipleship groups throughout the country and are seeing many people come to faith in Christ. We will return to Armenia from September 14-23 to meet with these believers again and offer them further biblical training and encouragement so they can continue to advance the gospel of God's grace in Christ. We will also meet with several new groups who want to be trained and join in the work the Lord is doing to build his church in Armenia.

Armenia is also home to 40,000 Kurdish people of the Yazidi religion. These Kurdish Armenians are 0.00% Christian and there is currently no known work to evangelize them. The main Yazidi village in Armenia has a population of about 6,000 and we have planned to initiate contact with them during our trip. We hope the Lord will give us the opportunity to preach the gospel and see the kingdom of God established among this unreached people group.
