Hey, I´m Janina from Germany :)
God really put it on my heart to do a Discipleship Training School from YWAM (Youth with a mission) in Germany, following the PAIS term. The Discipleship-Training-School basically comprises of a 3 months lecture-phase followed by a 3 months Outreach-phase to Asia, Eastern Europe or Africa. What I love about this specific DTS in Herrnhut, Germany is that you can focus on individual tracks, depending on your gifts, interests and passion. The "Marriage of the Arts" DTS allows you to select a specific art track; e.g. Music, Handicraft, Photography, Dance.
God really made it clear to me that I should use my musical talent more in order to bring him glory and to bless other people. I want to further develop my skills, learn new methods to use my God given gifts to reveal HIS love to others and change the world for Him.
Consequently, I opted for the Music track. Here I will learn a lot about Songwriting, Music theory and my identity as an artist. Throughout the course, a wide variety of speakers will lead explorations of relevant topics as they teach, lead workshops, and pass on insight about God's nature from their personal experience. In Outreach Phase I will put everything I´ve learned into practice "“ reaching out to the poorest of the poor, the ones without hope and future and minister them. We will organize concerts in order to build relationships to these people, will sing together with the kids and just help them wherever they need help.
I got accepted to this DTS and know that it is exactly God´s plan for me from September 2013- March 2014.
But I cannot do it without your help!
I need to raise about 1800$ for Lecture Phase and about 2600$ for Outreach Phase.
This is a lot of money but still I know that God will provide! He showed me this year clearly that he cares about me, provides with everything I need and even blesses me in a lot of different ways. I trust him that he will encourage other people from his Kingdom to support me, to take up the opportunity to be involved in a spiritual ministry through his/her resources.
Cause my God is a God who provides!
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." (Matthew 6:33-34)
I'm really joyful that you took the time to read this letter, it means a lot to me to know that people support me in this journey of faith, trust and obedience. I already want to thank all of you who are going to support me financially and in prayers. I can´t describe it with words how grateful I am for every single support I get from you!
