About Jack Exum Jr.

I was added to the body of Christ, May 31, 1959 at Southside Church of Christ, Beaumont, Texas. Graduated from Preston Road School of Preaching, Dallas, Texas, 1971. Have ministered to congregations in Georgia (Fitzgerald and Hartwell), Saskatchewan (Estevan), Canada, Indiana (Auburn),
North Carolina (Greensboro),Ukraine (Kremenchug), and Florida (Lake City). I am a committed Christian, happily married to my wife Lauw Liang (Wiwik), from Indonesia. Together, we stand in the grace of God, and strive to serve him together.

When Mom and Dad passed away in 2010, I determined to build a website in their memory. Since that time, www.jackexum.com, has been visited by hundreds and thousands from around the world.

Now, I am in the process of publishing dad’s books on Smashwords.com and Amazon.com. Thus far we have published 11 out of 39 books. Many still wish to have his books in print, but I just don’t have the funds necessary to publish them. This is one thing we are hoping to raise funds for.

Our goal is to raise funds to serve the Lord in the mission field of Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia. Indonesia is a beautiful country, with a population of over 320,000,000 souls. It is 80% Muslim and 20% Protestant Christian, Hindu and Buddhist. We are hoping to help congregations throughout Indonesia, with a special THREE UNUSUAL DAYS weekend meeting, where we will be teaching about God’s grace (something that according to missionaries there, 95% of the population know nothing about). We would be doing this once per month, and dedicating the rest of the time to planting the church in Central and Eastern Java, using Salatiga as a home base. Legalistic Bible teachers have caused several congregations to shut down, but we wish to build them up again with balanced Bible teaching on God’s grace.
We also will be putting books like “ABC’s of Grace,” “Amazing Grace: God’s Power To Be,” “Redeemed,” and “The Holy Spirit: How He Works in The life Of Christians Today” into print in their native language for use throughout Indonesia. We will also be helping develop a method of reaching children in Indonesia by using a Mini-VBS, and other methods, as well as “Timothy Class” and “Priscilla Class,” specifically designed for ages 8-12. All will be translated and printed in Indonesia.

BOTTOM LINE… We need your help! Join with us in this work and labor of love. We will be very grateful, and will send all who wish, a monthly update on the work.

Purpose and Philosophy statement:
* To encourage the body of Christ. Not only through published articles by dad and myself, but also through studies of the Scriptures, avoiding EXTREMES which lead to division, encouraging BALANCE which leads to unity. In order to grow in faith, which brings hope. To grow in grace, by which we are accepted with God through Jesus.
* To reach the lost. This is the mission of Jesus, and it must be ours. Everyone deserves the privilege to hear about Jesus. There is ONE God, who loves mankind incredibly, ONE Savior, who gave His all that we might be all His, and ONE faith given to be shared in the power of His Spirit. All who have been and will be redeemed, come to God, thru Jesus, are added to the ONE body. That body has no official name in the New Testament but has several designations which describe relationship, with God, Christ, and each other.
* To hold to restoration principles
1. “No Creed but Christ.” (Written creeds, and traditions are not authoritative)
2. “Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent.”
3. “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.”
4. “We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only.”
* To promote and encourage unity of believers. All who have by faith repented of their sins, and been immersed for the remission of sins into Jesus have been added to the one body. Christians may and often do disagree. That’s the way it is. Unity is more important than many of the things we have allowed to divide and weaken the body of Christ. Man’s traditions, necessary inferences, opinions should not be allowed to be considered authoritative. It’s OK, to question, and search for answers. It’s ok to disagree and keep studying. Truth has nothing to hide.
* To grow and help others grow in the grace of God.
