NJTL Trenton First Ever Nationals

For the eight kids on the National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton’s Junior Team Tennis team, this will be their first time representing the organization at a national tournament, and the most meaningful tennis competition of their lives to date. Just as important, this will be the first time in the organization’s history that it will be represented at nationals.
NJTLT’s JTT team, put together in early spring, has competed over the last 6 months and made its way through the entire section, comprised of teams mostly from private clubs. After securing first place during its regular season, the team continued to conquer all challenges, came out victorious at both districts and sectionals, and earned a spot at JTT Nationals, which will take place in South Carolina from October 15-18.
As the team prepares for JTT Nationals, challenges continue to present themselves. In order for the team to even get the chance to compete at nationals, the organization needs to raise $12,000 to fund the trip. NJTLT provided scholarships for each of its players to play JTT and we’re hoping to be able to do the same for nationals. As a non-profit organization, coming up with $12,000 presents another challenge that we are confident we can overcome, with your help!
This tournament represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the kids to travel and represent NJTLT. It is also the culmination of months of hard work with each other and years of work put in prior to meeting each other. The only catch is that the team might not even get the chance to play if it cannot secure appropriate funds. Our kids need your help to get to nationals. NJTLT appreciates any and all support, no matter the amount! Every contribution we can get will help us move closer to our goal!
The kids on NJTLT’s JTT team are a part of our Ashe Elite program, which offers year-round tennis training, equipment, subsidized tournament play, college mentoring and prep, scholarships, and employment opportunities all at no cost to the participants. The organization’s mission is to enhance the lives of youth by providing opportunities in tennis & education and we hope to be able to provide another opportunity to these kids by getting them to South Carolina!
