Trip To Meet My Birth Mother

Five years ago, at the age of 47, I was told by a cousin that I was adopted.  After the shock wore off I decided to search for my birth mother.   I discovered the name of the adoption agency from some old documents in my family's possession and I contacted them to request  the search. 

To my surprise it didn't take them long to find my mother and get her consent to exchange information and messages via the adoption agency.  Finally, I heard my mother's voice for the first time on Christmas Eve 2012.  We tried to arrange a meeting but I live in New Jersey and she lives in Arizona.  I haven't had the funds for air fare to fly out and my mother is afraid to fly,

I also learned that I had four half-siblings.  In December of 2014 I contacted one of them and we met soon after.  She is the sibling that's closest to our mother and she wants to accompany me to Arizona to calm both my mother's nerves and my own, so we're still trying to scrape together the funds for two of us to fly out for a reunion. 

Our mother is 76 years old now and I feel a sense of urgency to have the reunion as soon as possible.  Every dollar I can raise brings me one step closer to finally meeting the woman who carried me for nine months.
