Benvenuti!  We are Papa Sal & Val Gray, owners and chefs of Italian Hearts Pasta Sauces, Inc.  Founded in Reno, Nevada 4 years ago, our handcrafted organic sauces are available in 58 stores in northern & southern Nevada and northern California, including Whole Foods Raley’s, Safeways, Great Basin Community Coop and severalother stores that have partnered with us. They are also available nationwide through our secure Etsy store, along with gift cards.  Our sauces, fresh organic pastas, and organic grass-fed meat products are available in our retail store, co-located at our production facility in Gardnerville, just south of Carson City, Nevada’s state capital. 

 

Our mission is simple: to provide the best products and service to our customers at the lowest prices possible. We take great pride in our company, our commitment to customer service, and in the products we sell. Our customers appreciate convenience, and want authentic, handcrafted sauces that can easily and quickly be turned into delicious, healthy meals for family and friends. Most of them learn about products from the many in-store demos, event booths, food and wine walks, and cooking classes we have done all over the Sierra Region. This summer, we are excited to be regulars at the Farmers Market in Gardnerville on Wednesday mornings and also in Reno on Saturdays at Reno Summit Mall.

Papa Sal’s Three Meat Sauce is gluten-free and uses chuck roast, sweet Italian sausage and pork spare ribs to achieve a mild, full bodied flavor. Add one of our organic pastas and an organic Three Meat Tray for a new take on fast food!  Our Bella Amore sauce gets its spicy kick from Val’s amazing organic Bella Amore Meatballs and local hand ground spicy sausage. Pair with those meatballs and our signature heart-shaped organic ravioli for a mid-week romantic dinner and some beautiful love!  Val's Vegetarian Sauce is gluten-free and vegan. Hand chopped chunks of local organic veggies provide its unique flavor, making it a great pizza sauce or as the base for slow cooker chili. Tossed with angel hair pasta, it gives a whole new meaning to Pasta Primavera.  We cook all day, so you don’t have to!

Italian Hearts sauces are more than a marriage of traditional Italian sauce recipes passed down from generation to generation, with additional touches that make them uniquely our own.  First, we use organic ingredients, including local meats, produce and herbs.  Nothing artificial goes into our products, which contain no additives or preservatives and are GMO-free.  We purchase local producers and vendors as much as possible. Second, we own our own commercial Certified FDA Safe production facility, and have full control over our ingredients and production processes. There is no co-packing. Our commercial sauces are exactly the same ones we serve to our family and friends!  Finally, we slow cook the sauces in small, handcrafted batches the old fashioned way, using the best ingredients and building layers upon layers of intense flavor.  The result is gourmet sauces that are both rich with flavor and healthy for you.  They can be used for everything from pasta to grilled foods, for oven-baked dishes and slow cooker meals, and as a soup starter.  We are always posting new recipes and cooking ideas on our Facebook page.  Our goal is to blow the lid off other jarred sauce options!

We are a great company, with a strong desire to bring even more love from our Italian Hearts to your table.  Your donation can help to make that vision a reality!
