Help the Isherwood NE feral cats!

Many of you on Capitol Hill and the DC area have heard about the 2 alarm fire in June that destroyed the homes of several neighbors on Isherwood NE, killing one neighbor and several beloved pet dogs and cats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K7QdlZRd5E
What many of you might not have heard is that a colony of feral cats lost thier caregiver due to the fire. Neighbors have been gathering together to care for and provide daily feeding and support for this group of approximately 5-6 cats. With the help of the Washington Humane Society's CATNIPP program, we are ensuring that the cats are healthy and fixed as part of the TNR (Trap Neuter Return) Program that was established with this colony before the fire.
But we need need your support! Cat food costs money, and in the near future we will need additional funds to build cold weather sheters for these cats. 100% of the funds collected go directly towards the care of these cats. If you would like to donate cat food directly to this colony, or are a nieghbor who would like to help join the feeding scheudle, please contact Jill at [email redacted]. All help is appreciated, but we ask that you do not feed outside of the feeding schedule/when the cats are not present due to vermin and other issues. If we need to trap for additional TNR support we need the cats on a schedule :)
