In Memory of John Dawson

As many of you have seen or heard, our classmate and good friend John Dawson passed away Wednesday in Afghanistan.
John was always a great friend to everyone he knew. He had your back when you needed him even if he didn't know you well. He would give you the shirt off his back (if he was wearing one at the time) and would never think twice about it. John will always be remembered for his contagious laugh, huge smile, and never ending sense of humor. During our time in high school, John left an impact on so many people's lives through his generosity, humor, and kindness.
In 2012, John joined the United States Army and decided to serve his country and defend our freedom. Spct John Dawson was a proud, decorated soldier who stood tall for his beliefs and loved what he did. Unfortunately, John made the ultimate sacrifice for us all. We are all honored to have been priviledged enough to know John as both a hero and a friend. His sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.
Many people have asked how they can send flowers or show their thanks for John's service and their condolences to his family. This page has been started as a fundraiser from John's graduating high school class. The money raised here will be used to purchase a large flower bouquet for John's services on behalf of our entire class. The remaining funds will be sent to John's family. Any donation of any size would be greatly appreciated.
