New Beginning for Hope's Family

Today my parked car was side swiped. The police told me they found the UHaul that hit me. When I arrived to meet the driver, there was a woman with five children waiting by the truck. She said she looked for me but couldn't wait, because she had to get her oldest from school. Both the cop and I believed her she seemed shaken and most of all overwhelmed. When I asked her why she was moving so close to Christmas, she smiled very sweetly and said, "We got evicted, and I am staying at my mom's. I have a week to find a place to go".
I spent the next two hours helping her unload her truck into two storage units and during that time I heard her story. Everything from abuse to just plain bad luck. There were moments when she would tear up looking at her whole life shoved into a storage unit. She just took a breath and said, "God has a plan for me. I know he does. It's just hard to see what that is."
I know that God put us together today for two reasons:
1. For me, it was to remember that I can't sweat the small stuff. There are people out there really going through some shit.
2. So I could be of some help.
The mother has a PFA (Protection From Abuse order) against her child's father, so we have given her the alias, "Hope".
