Rachael was recently diagnosed with multiple massive pulmonary embolisms. She was hospitalized for 7 days with a tube and catheter in her lungs. Her medicine of coumadin was not effective and was switched to xarelto. She still receives blood clots and the doctors do not know what is causing them to form.
They have done all they can in town and recommend traveling to Mayo clinic to undergo further tests.
Rachael is in and out of the hospital on a weekly to monthly basis and is unable to work. She goes for blood tests, ultra-sounds, CT scans, and x-rays to stay monitored.
It is a miracle Rachael is alive and everyday is a battle of uncertainty. She has endless hospital bills and remains strong, hopeful, and determined to heal.
