Baby Emmie-Rae and family

Donation protected
Emmie-Rae is a beautiful baby girl who is 3 weeks old today, she was born 3 weeks early weighing a diddy 4lb 15oz!! Sadly she was born with 6 heart defects and other problems so the poor little girl and her family haven't had an easy time!! She is currently being looked after in the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital NICU and she's off to Great Ormand Street on Friday the 19th of September for her first of many heart operations in the years to come. No one can ever imagine the heartache and sadness Charlotte, Kane and Riley are going through seeing their little tiny princess go through something so big, yet they have still remained so strong and brave through it all. As her friends we have been trying to make as much as we can to help her mummy and daddy out with travel, accommodation, and just general living which will hopefully take so much weight off their shoulders. Every donation no matter how big or small is amazing!!! Any money the family do not use they will donate to the Norfolk and Norwich NICU & The British Heart Foundation!! Thank you so much in advance love Helen, Donya and Cassie xoxoxo

Here is some beautiful words from Charlotte, Emmie - Rae's mummy....

I'm not big on talking when it comes to my own personal circumstances where emotion is involved but have been so touched by everyone's kind generosity & thought I would explain just why it means so much...... Not a lot of people will no this but Emmie-Rae is very special to us because before her we had six heartbreaking miscarriages something we never openly talked about because keeping it hidden made it easier to deal with so when we had our 12 weeks scan & was told everything was ok we were over then moon, the at 20weeks we were given the heart breaking news that our precious little girl had several heart defects and would need open heart surgery and special care once she arrived after many seeing many heart specialists and several check-ups we had 2 premature labour scares which thankfully they were able to stop then we were told she had stopped growing so at 37 weeks I was induced 12 hours later little ladies heart rate dropped & she was delivered by emergancy caesarian, after seeing her briefly she was then taken to NICU where we have been for 21days sitting next to her 24hours a day praying she will be ok, Emmie was born with 6 heart defects (DORV, VSD, ASD, PDA, transposition of the great arteries & displacment of the veins joined to the heart) all of which are common but very rarely seen altogether along with small birth weight. Originally she was planned to come home then eventually have an operation to put right all the wrongs but after recent examinations other complications were found & we were told this is no longer possible, unfortunately Emmie-Rae deteriorated and slipped into cardiac failure and developed fluid on the lungs so instead of being able to take her home the surgeons have decided to perform open heart surgery on Friday which will prolong the heart failure and allow her time to grow and give them time to propose a plan B. We cannot do the normal thing and take are little girl home and enjoy her first moments so for us all the money kindly donate allows us to stay beside her at great Ormand street and allow her big brother to come visit and stay at weekends until she is well enough to come back to NNUH, we don't no what the road ahead holds for us but what we do know is our little lady is one hell of a fighter and with everyone's support, kind words, & finacial help the road ahead would have been so much harder, the hardest thing in the world is not being able to be with both my babies Riley & Emmie so now being able to have that little bit of time with them both means more than the world. You never truly know how heartbreaking it can be to see a child poorly and feeling helpless until it is your own so any money we do not use will be donated to NICU and BHF to help other families through the hard times we a currently facing if it wasn't for the exceptional care and compassion from the nurses and doctors at Norwich NICU and the BHF I don't no how we as parents would of coped they are truly amazing, Angels in disguise and I would like to be able to give something back xxx
