Help save Tig!

Living out in the country, I commonly come across dogs being dumped. Never have I found one in the condition this dog is in. We have named him Tig, inspired by Tiggy from SOA.
I came across Tig on my way home from work on an old country road. I sat with him on the side of the road and posted to Facebook groups that I needed help. A woman, Tammy, answered my call for help. She and her husband came out and helped get the dog loaded into a create and off they went to the emergency vet.
Tig is finally getting the proper care he needs. He is heartworm, tape worm, and hook worm positive. He is getting medicated baths and has been treated for a bad flea infestation. He also has a yeast infection in his skin. He is very malnourished as well.
Tests have ruled out sarcoptic mange. More tests are being run now to deterimine if the skin condition is thyroid related. If that is negative more tests will be needed.
Tig is being boarded for medical reasons at the vet's office.
I want to stress the vet believes this dog can be saved. He is estimated to be only 1-2 years old. He has so much life left. Tammy and I want to show him that humans can be kind.
Please help us save Tig. He deserves better from this world.
