Father's Second Battle With Cancer

Donation protected
My husband Steve was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma some years ago, after being given a 5 - 10% chance of survival.  Steve's severe treatment, involving double dosing of chemo, massive radiation and billions of cloned cells left him permanently disabled and unable to work.  We would have celebrated the cure date on September 1st, 2014, but on April 23rd, we found out his cancer is back.  The original diagnosis comes with a Dr.'s disclaimer that Steve's disease is considered incurable.  Turned down for disability benefits twice, he now has a lawyer who works on contengency- only in SSI disability claims in D.C., which can take up to a year.  After having to sell our house, the three of us became homeless.  My son Kai is a Type 1 insulin-resistant Diabetic and has been bald (but so beautiful) since right after this photo was taken, in Kindergarten.  He is now 15. Our family needs enough money to pay massive medical bills, back rent, loans from friends, car repairs and to help us get by until the disability settlement comes through.  My son needs to be in a stable living situation (not back in the car), so he can attend high school. Steve refuses to give up, and so do we. Please join us. Thank you for your help.
