So why did this dumb Marine...
So why did this dumb Marine just run 5 miles in the 93 degree sun??? The answer is in the question! Come on folks, make your own iced mocha today and toss the $5.00 you saved to the Wounded Warrior Project. If it is hot were you are at think about this. For our troops in Afghanistan the weather for today is 114 degrees.

I joined the Marine Corps in 1988 and am a veteran of Desert Shield/Storm. I made the natural transition to local Law Enforcement in 1993. After September 11th, I accepted a position with the United States Federal Air Marshal Service. I left the Air Marshal Service in 2008 to go back to local law enforcement. While with the Air Marshal Service in Chicago IL, I created the Helping Young Marines Now Foundation. (H.Y.M.N Foundation) The vision was to help Young Christian Marines stay connected with
their faith. To come home from war physically safe but spiritually lost is an
avoidable tragedy.
For this fundraising project, I am running the
America's Finest City half Marathon in San Diego, CA on August 21st 2011. I will use a small portion to register
H.Y.M.N. Foundation with the state of California as a legal 501(c)(3) nonprofit
foundation so future donations will be completely tax deductible. The remainder
of the money will be donated to the wounded Warrior Project.
With so many young Marines coming home with life
changing injuries, how can we as free American citizens not be
there for them? For those who know me, I don't like to run unless it is to the
fridge or after the ice cream truck. I have even been known to run to the
bathroom until the dinner dishes have been done. With that said I have been
blessed with two healthy legs and have the ability to raise money for those who
cannot.
I am asking you for a donation in the amount you would like to give. I am thankful for any amount.

Hello there all, and Tyler, this is a great thing you are doing here. I personally feel it is difficult for our fellow American to figure out how to help our troops, wounded and returning home. We buy a Starbucks not really thinking about the cost or beer, smokes any modern convience. I agree with you, and if I can support my president by donating a few buck I can most surely give to our troops who have give us the freedom in which to live free. God Bless you and I support you 100%. To all others, send this to as many as you can or think can help my brother achieve his goal and to support out troops. They deserve our graditude. Bill
