Rebuild Honor House Veterans Center

Donation protected
On September 5th 2015 around 12:15am someone set fire to the Honor House Veterans Center at 1302 E. Evans Street.  We were able to salvage a few flags and flag poles, other than that it is all gone.  Honor Sentinel Inc has been working on this center for the better part of this year.  We have had concert events, smoked meat sales and sold BBQ plates to fund the renovation of this property that was donated by the Decatur County Board of Education.  We would like to thank everyone that helped us get the Honor House Veterans Center to the point it was at when this heinous thing happened.  All of the donations of money, time and materials.  We want to ensure them that it will come to be.  We will not give up on our dream of having a place here in Bainbridge that Honors our Veterans.  The need for a place like the Honor House has not changed.  We refuse to let the actions of someone with a match ruin what we are doing.  It has been a major setback and we are going to have to start back at square one.  It is disheartening but we will not be discouraged.  We have all taken a vow to stand up for what is right, to have honor and courage in the face of any trial, to help those that need it and to serve our community; that is what keeps going and separates us from the rest.  Please keep the Veterans Center and our organization in your thoughts and prayers.
