                                            About The Author
Kimberly F. Monroe is a two-time graduate of Grambling State University. Having received her B.A. in History and M.A. in Mass Communication and history, she is a proud alumni who wrote this book as her way of giving back to The Grambling State University. A native of Lake Charles, La. Kimberly grew up writing as a means to express herself.

At Grambling, she was an editor for The Gramblinite school newspaper where she perfected her craft and was published on-line and in other local publications. At a HBCU of rich traditions there was a lot history to include but she chose what would stand out to Gramblinites, fans and potential students.

Monroe was inspired to write “Homecoming in Tiger Land” after reading and purchasing “I Love My SSU!” by Desmond W. Delk.

Once published, the proceeds from the book sales will go towards a book scholarship for two rewarding students each school year.
