Saving Hope and Giving Help
What if your family was displaced and huddling in a shelter tonite--without power, a home, or pets? You can help by giving now to save lives, homes and cities.
Imagine the devastation of no electricity to shower or bathe, no television, no clean water to drink, no transportation access to get to your job or even to go out and get food and other provisions. No work, no home, no outside communication. This is how millions of Americans today feel....coping in the wake of the historic storm that ravaged our shores. Let's give them hope by giving to them from our financial resources.
As a community of sexuality professionals and sexperts, come join the spirit of giving. Let's give all we can!! Once we reach our goal, I will donate this fund to families and cities for rebuilding their lives, homes and infrastructures that Hurricane Sandy destroyed. For those of us spared by this natural disaster let's show our caring support.

Note: I have been asked to say more, for transparency sake: I am a sexologist and former AASECT President, along with two adjunct professorships in California and the co-founder of SexCoachU.com; I am a global leader in the field of sexual health. I see the destruction caused by this storm as a health crisis, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. Many of us are safe and sound in our homes and offices with life going on as it always does. Our hearts and wallets are being opened now to help our fellow Americans. It is my intention once we reach all or a substantial part of this lofty goal to raise $10,000 to find agencies or community charities as a vehicle through which to funnel the funds raised. I will list those as they surface, such as women's shelters, clinics, campaigns to rebuild the Jersey shoreline towns, or shift the funds to the American Red Cross; this drive is to garner the specific support of those who are professional sexuality treatment specialists, therapists, educators, coaches, advocates, supporters or others who just plain care about giving of ourselves. I hope this helps to substantiate my rationale and who I am. And as a woman born in NY and having called Manhattan my home for many years before, I cannot just sit idle and watch the devastation without doing something for this country. Patti Britton 11/2/12
