The Give Thanks 5K and Kids Fun Run

The Give Thanks 5K and Kids' Fun Run started in 2013 as a way to remember Jeff's sister, who passed away unexpectedly in her sleep that year due to a rare heart condition. She was 43. The race has now grown into a community event to promote family, fitness, and community.
The 5K starts and ends at the band shell in The Lakes neighborhood next to the beach. At 10:00 am, there is a fun run for kids. Each child will receive a medal for participating.
Because this event is free to the public, we are asking for donations to support the police presence, port-a-potties, kids' medals, water, and every other aspect that goes into hosting a world-class event good enough for the people of our beloved city.
ANY ADDITIONAL DOLLARS RAISED WILL BE DONATED TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION AND FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN!
