After 4 years of being on dialysis, our friend and musical colleague George Jones, recently underwent a long awaited kidney transplant. We are all truly grateful, and George is absolutely overwhelmed and humbled by
the outpouring of love, moral support, well wishes and prayers.
As is to be expected, this new lease on life also brings its own challenges. In addition to his body having to accept the growth of the new kidneys, there are also numerous medical requirements and follow up appointments associated with his successful recovery.
George has to commute back and forth to the hospital in Florida for his post transplant follow up checks and assessments.
The financial requirements needed to meet these appointments including accommodation, transportation and other miscellaneous expenses are challenging.
