Featuring an opening reception, the work of local and nationally known filmmakers, an awards ceremony, celebrity guests, special events and educational panel discussions, The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF) brings an annual, week long, urban film experience to Northeast Ohio.
During the first three years, GCUFF screened over 50 full-length feature films, 75 short films, four student films and three children films to over 3,600 attendees.
This year, GCUFF plans to show over 20 featured films and numerous short films and provide various educational workshops to over 2,000 attendees. GCUFF will also host 200+ youth, as a portion of the film festival is dedicated to exposing them to the industry and encouraging them to develop a greater appreciation for the arts.
The 4th Annual Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival will run September 17-24, 2015 at Shaker Square Cinema in Cleveland, Ohio.
Your contribution to GCUFF will:
· Provide a venue to showcase talented independent filmmakers
· Expose youth to film industry
· Cultivate a global village of artistic talent
The Greater Cleveland Film Foundation, parent company of the film festival, is a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of African American cinema, as well as, education in the media arts.
