I will be satisfied with nothing less than the higher education of my dreams. Fortunately, I have discovered TUJ. My love of all things Japanese is practically life-long. I remember climbing out of my bed as a chibi chan, on Saturday mornings to beg Mom for a bowl of cereal and TV time with Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece. I am animé otaku from way back, no shame! In middle school I discovered manga and I was curious about the artists who created these awesome, enthralling comics. I began to research the country and culture that provided my favorite source of entertainment. For years I have daydreamed of the opportunity to experience Japan in the first person, with so much eagerness, that my virtual quest can do nothing but transform into a surpassing reality.
At Temple University Japan, I can pursue top-ranked undergraduate and graduate educations in international business. I can also immerse myself in the culture and language of the market in which I plan to establish myself as an entrepreneur. TUJ can provide me with tremendous educational and professional advantages by allowing me to experience a permanent Japanese lifestyle. These are ideal conditions for the germination of a multi-national marketing and entertainment mogul … that would be me. I have to become fluent in the language and familiar with the culture of Japan so that I can form my own international anime and manga production company. I want to distribute amazing artistic literature and share my love for this form of media with people all over the world. I plan to position myself to actively support TUJ’s mission as an alumnae.
I intend to have a mutually beneficial relationship with TUJ. In return for an elite American education in the ultimate international environment, I offer the university community the benefits of my personal strengths. I am an independent learner, actively engaged in my education. I am adaptable and confident in a wide variety of environments and circumstances. I am persistent in my efforts to completely conquer any challenge I face . I am a leader because of these qualities.
When I first opened TUJ's brochure and turned to the first information page. I looked down at the page and saw a picture of TUJ students that made me smile because all around the picture I saw characters from the shows and manga that sparked my initial interest in the Japanese culture. At that moment I had a feeling that I had found my dream school and after reading the entire brochure I knew that TUJ was the school for me.
I have moved many times throughout middle school and high school which allowed me to experience a wide variety of educational environments and in turn learn what educational environment is best for me. I excel in a small, but diverse, student centered environment. The brochure said that TUJ meets all these requirements and more. I am inviting you wonderfull people to participate in my adventure, and I hope you will help me to be a member of this unmatched learning community.
