Equipment for Schooling

UPDATE AS OF 10/002/2012:

We have raised $1,260 as of 10/02/2012. I have spoke with the school and I will be able to keep taking classes until February 2013 without having to need the rest of the equipment I need for classes. Majority of the equipment will be arriving in 2 weeks so I am good with that equipment to take more classes however, the next classes after that will require the remaining amount so that I can purchase that and continue with the classes. I also was notified that I will need to purchase the upgrade for the software which is $350. So with what I still need for the equipment and the software now. I had to add additional $350 to the remaining amount I need making the goal come to $1850. Also please take in advisement that this website does charge me a fee for each donation so when we raised $1,260, I only received $1,154 from that. If you are still interested in helping I would appreciate it. I am giving the fundraising until January 15, 2013. Thanks again for the donations and support. It has meant so much to me to continue being in school.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Katie and I am in need of help. I am a full-time student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I am currently studying to get my bachelors degree in photography. I hold a 3.76 GPA as of right now and I am wanting to stay in school but I am having financial issues with purchasing my equipment for my upcoming classes. All of my financial aid is exhausted toward my tuition because of me being in an expensive school and because I am a out-of-state student. I have until October to raise $1500 to purchase my equipment and be able to keep going with my education. If I am unable to purchase what I need I will be forced to leave school until I can afford my equipment. I am really working hard to avoid that.

I am reaching out and asking for help! If you could please donate at least $10 it would go a long way to help me reach what I need. I have also included a few of the items that I do have to purchase. If you are unable to I understand more than you can imagine. I am unemployed, I take care of my disabled veteran(husband) and I also support my daughter, siblings and my mother that is currently battling stage 4 kidney failure so I do understand the financial burdens and struggles but if you are unable to help, all I ask is for your prayers.
