Francesca's fight with cancer
We began this journey in January 2015 when Fran was taken to the hospital with a bloody diaper. At the hospital Fran had her second bloody diaper, this one contained a small piece of tissue. At the time, this seemed like a horrible occurrence, but we now realize this was our only warning of the tumor growing inside little Fran. The lab results we received 2 days later verified that Francesca had expelled a tumor from her body. The only other recorded instance found was in Japan, some 60 years ago. This truly was a miracle. Unfortunately, further scans revealed that Fran had another tumor growing inside her and it was malignant. A week later the doctors operated and removed over 90% of her tumor. I wish I could say this was the end of our battle with cancer, but the doctors have confirmed little Fran will have to undergo Chemotherapy. Thus begins our long road to Franny's full recover.
How the money will be used
We will be using donations to provide the best possible healing and support for Fran. items ranging from her strict diet of organic fruits and vegetables to specific vitamins & supplements known to help cancer patients, and of course, Dr. appointments and other related expenses. I'm sure there will be plenty of surprise expenses that will happen along the way as we enter into this new reality . Thank you for caring about our Franny. We couldn't do it without you .
Why we started this funding page
We started this funding page because we've had so many wonderful friends & family members ask to help us. This early in the process, we don't know exactly what we need help with or even how to coordinate properly with all the amazing people who have volunteered help. One thing we do know is that Franny's treatments and preventative care will be more than our already stressed budget can afford. Please do not feel obligated to donate anything, only do so if you feel inclined to help in this way.
