Chasing My Writing Dream in NYC

It's time for me to move on and you can help. Charlotte has been awesome in ways but, to advance my writing career, I'm making the necessary and risky move to New York. There are workshops to take, elbows to rub,  and professional opportunities to pursue. North Carolina simply is not where these things will happen for me. In all it's natural beauty and with it's many great food options, the land of Billy Graham is not a place where writers and creatives typically flock or thrive. So, I'm taking the many lessons I've learned here and getting a one way ticket out...ASAP. 
I'm lucky to be moving with a secure, paying freelance gig and some savings. If you know me well or have followed me over the years, you've seen I have a way of blazing my way through a city and you can expect New York will be no different. My plan is to continue with freelancing and speaking engagements, probably work like two jobs, and complete my multimedia project Our Love Is. Really though, to make this move with the least risk of sleeping in Central Park I need you to contribute whatever amount you feel you can. In return I can offer eternal gratitude, the guarantee that the Universe will conspire in your favor, a dance like Mary J Blige if I meet my goal, and maybe a book dedication. I love you for even reading this much of my shameless beg for your coin. You know what desperate times call for and you can't knock the hustle.
