I guess I should say Happy New Year, even though we are fully engrossed in 2014 already, but with it being so busy from Christmas on, we haven't had barely a minute to update. We are still so thankful for all the support we have received. From donations, to news coverage in Tucson, to the Yelp shout out done on us, we are overwhelmed with all of your blessings. Still with all the blessings, we've struggled, to be honest. But, despite December being a very rough month for food trucks, pushing us to the brink of almost closing down, we trudge on, in our business, in our lives, all for the better good, for the better life. Now that the holidays have faded into a memory, it's time to jump back in to this wonderful campaign. We haven't been able to go out to feed the homeless since Christmas Day due to lack of funds, so it's time to get the word out again! Please help us by sharing our venture, telling your friends and family, posting to Facebook & Twitter. The more we get the word out, the more we can keep on feeding those in need. Thank you again for all of your love, kindness and support. We could not do this without you!
Tomorrow, for Christmas, we will be going to Estevan Park in Tucson to serve Green Chile Enchiladas, a side, and Cinnamon Strudel Cake! Food Truck Friends will also be joining us to hand out cookies, hot coffee and other goodies to all of those on need. Thank you so much for your continuing support!
Thanks to your wonderful support and your heart of love, we served another 100 people today! Those in need enjoyed a grilled Angus beef and cheese sandwich on a fresh baked roll, french fries, an orange and a drink. The people we serve are so thankful and grateful, and they tell us every time we go out. These are amazing, beautiful people behind the shattered lives that overwhelm them, and for at least one moment, they can feel normal and loved, because of you. Thank you, from Kristine and Ray Duke

Wow, what a wonderful day yesterday! Not only did we feed almost 100 people because of your wonderful donations, but Maria Hechanova from KOLD 13 and Fox News Now 11 joined us all morning to do interviews and live remotes right from our truck to tell Tucson about what we are doing and how you can help! We cannot do this without you, and you all have been wonderful! Please share this venture with your family and friends!

Well guys, today was our very first day out feeding those in need with your donations. We're happy to report that 68 people today received a meal, thanks to YOU! Our next outing will be December 10, followed by December 17, and then Christmas Day! Thank all of you again, and don't forget to continue sharing our page with facebook, twitter, etc...
Thanks to you guys, we can take the truck out to feed those in need three, maybe four more times! We could not do this without you! Thank you for your caring spirit and heart! Every meal we serve is served with your love and compassion!
Good News, we've got a schedule for our next 4 outings to put your donations to the best use! We will be serving at Santa Rita Park, where the video was made, on November 30, December 10 and 17, and on Christmas Day! Depending on the turnout, we'll head over to Estevan Park as well when we wrap up at Santa Rita. This is a direct result of the generosity each of you has shown with your donations, and we will make sure they all know that each of you wish them the best!
Great News Guys, we've raised enough in the last 2 days to go out for one more day of service. To be sure, there is a long way to go to reach our goal of serving the hungry every day, but because of your generosity we can now make sure that there will be one more day of nutritious meals handed out to those who need it. This website takes about a week to send the money when it is transferred, but rest assured that we will be setting aside one day next week to put your donations to good use. We will always keep you updated on all of the details when we head out too!
So far we have raised $225 since the launch yesterday. Thank you so much to each of you. Every dollar means more to us than you know. In order to keep this going, we need the link to our page and video shared as much as possible, so if you're willing, please share this page on your facebook, email, etc... and help us to really get things going. Thanks again! You're all awesome!
In 2012, we opened our own food truck
business called Kadooks! Costa Rican Fusion Food. We feel so blessed to have this
opportunity in life. We know that for whatever reasons, there are many people
who could not dream of an opportunity such as this. We do know that the end
result is from hard work, planning and sacrifice, but we do know that the many
factors in our life, like a loving family, have lead us to this place. We do
not take lightly that we have been given this opportunity and gift. We now feel
that we need to be good stewards of this gift. For this reason, we would like to
take our food truck business and turn it into a mobile soup kitchen. We'd like
to take the food truck out to the areas in Tucson where we have seen a need, in
order to serve hot and healthy meals. We will not
discriminate nor judge those who come to our window for a meal. Our meals will
be served with unconditional love, something we know the people we will serve
have rarely experienced. The meals will
be prepared and served with the same care and consideration that goes into
every meal we serve from our truck to our paying customers. This is a dream we
have had since before we even built the truck and ever since we first took the
truck out on Christmas Day of 2012, a week after we opened, to serve free hot
meals to anyone in need.

We all see them; we all know they are
there. We feel it's time to do something and give something that we can
offer, a hot, healthy meal to every person in need in Tucson. We ask
that you to join us in this simple journey of "Operation Food Truck". Our
mission is to raise enough money so that we can serve 15,000 meals right here
in Tucson, AZ. We know that may seem like a lot, but that's 15,000 less people
who will go hungry, when sometimes the hunger can be so strong, nothing else
matters. That's 15,000 people who will know, even for just one moment that their needs
are being met. That's 15,000 people who may feel that there is hope, and that
they can face another day. That's 15,000 people who may have never known
unconditional love, but for that moment, we hope with all our hearts, that they
will know that they are loved. Please
join us in whatever way you can, no matter how big or small in providing
healthy meals for those in need. The journey starts today:let's do it together.
