Art PLUS Trafficking
My next body of artwork is using waterlilies and lily pads to talk about trafficking and slavery. There are many parallels between the beautiful plant. Waterlilies have a complex underground root system which in dirty leach infested water. The flowers bring oxygen back to the roots and the lily pads (up to 50 per plant) take back chlorophyll to keep the plant alive in water that would choke it out if not for the lilies bring back. The parallels are quite fascinating. Check out my blog to see read more. I will also share more blog posts in the comments.
I am raising money to pay for framing as well as travel for a couple different conferences. 10% (or more) of all my trafficking art sales (and donations) will go back to one of several organizations helping with trafficking.
