After a few weeks of becoming more and more lethargic, high fever, loss of fur, skin lesions, refusal to eat or drink, and a nonresponse to various treatents, Fariya was sent from our vet to the animal hospital Friday night. She was admitted immedietly and is already responding to treatment. We are so thankful. She is currently at Blue Pearl 24-hour Vet Hospital in Manhattan.
It turns out that she has an autoimmune diease, which is causing her body to attack her skin. It's not pretty, but it's manageable and she will recover. We can't wait to have her back and bouncing around soon.
In an effort to cover her stay ay Blue Pearl {the emergency visit, over night stay, biopsy, blood work, pain meds, steroids, IV (and on and on) that were needed} we are starting the Fariya Emergency Hospital Fund. We are humbly asking for a one time donation for the admittedly ridiculously high, but all the same neceessary, cost of animal care in Manhattan.
We thank you in advance for any donation and as a thank you, we promise to limit the amount of dog pics on facebook to one per month.
