Hey Everybody,
I've never done anything like this before, but anything can help at this point. A few weeks ago, out of nowhere, I started to experience extreme dehydration, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, cold sweats, and extreme abdominal pain, among other symptoms. I'm not one to normally go to the doctor. I wrote it off ass maybe food poisoning or maybe a stomach flu. On Monday, November 2, 2015, after three straight days of no sleep, I decided to have my mother bring me to the ER. Immediately, they realized there was an issue. I was admitted to Dekalb Medical and diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis. The surgeon said it was the worst case he had ever seen. Since then, my kidneys have also failed. The pain continues, as does my recovery. I had surgery to correct the issue with my pancreas on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015.
Now I am continuing to go through Dialysis, to reverse the damage done to my kidneys. Yesterday, November 15th, 2015, I was given an estimate of 2 weeks remaining in the hospital, and 2-3 more months of recovery (including Honestly, I have no idea how much all of this will cost, but I don't have insurance through my job and I could use whatever help I can get. Please share and donate anything if possible. Any money donated will be put toward my medical bills.
The reason why I named this lesson learned is because, this was mainly caused to my heavy drinking. I want to spread awareness. I had issues within myself that I tried to drown out with liquor. Please be careful and responsible with your drinking. If you feel sick, see a doctor. Had I waited one day longer, I may have died. Doctors say I can never drink alcohol again because of this. I'm beginning a new chapter of my life. Please help/join me.
