Erin and Georges Piano Fund

We (Erin and Georges) found a lightly used baby grand piano in the Rochester area. It's a Weber piano made by Young Chang in the year 2000, Model WG157 EP, black polished ebony, 650 pounds, 5 feet and 2 inches - check out the pictures!
We are both excited about having a piano in our home for so many reasons: we love to make music both separately and together, we want our children to learn to play the piano, we love to use music as a way to praise God, Erin needs it for her work as an accompanist, and so much more! And we are specifically excited about having a REAL piano; to Erin, there is no possible substitution for the touch and sound of a real piano.
Any amount of money you choose to contribute will be greatly appreciated. However, for those of you who love numbers and making contribution gifts more visual, there are 88 keys on this piano - so a donation of about $50 would pay for a piano key. :) If you want to specify which key(s) your contribution is covering, feel free! You could even tell us that you are paying for 1 1/2 keys, meaning that the 2nd key is flat and needs to be "tuned" by somebody else. Or you could specify another part of the piano - one of the pedals (there are 3), the bench, etc. We hope you will have fun with this!
In addition, I (Erin) will be making a special picture frame with piano keys as the border, and anybody who contributes towards the piano will have his/her name put on a piano key! (We will wait until after the wedding to decide which picture to put in the frame, of course)
If we receive more contributions than the $4500 listed above, we will use that money to care for the piano. For example, it will need to be tuned on a regular basis. There is also special equipment that we could purchase to help control the temperature enviroment on the inside of the piano.
We will treasure this piano as a gift from our family and friends, and we want to remember those who help us make this dream a reality.
