Dott's Memorial Scholarship

Dorothy’s spirit lives on through all who met her. Her life was nothing short of a miracle and her legacy will live on through Tri Delta, Virginia Tech, Baltimore, Ireland, and the Rose of Tralee. Our hope with this scholarship fund is to create a lasting legacy of Dorothy through one of her most beloved places on earth-Tri Delta. Through this scholarship fund Dott’s spirit of generosity will be passed on for years. For each girl who learns about and benefits from this scholarship fund our hope is that a little bit of Dott will be passed on to her. What better gift could we give to this world than more living and exhibiting the beautiful qualities of Dorothy Henggeler? We hope that all who knew or those who are touched by her story will help us to raise the necessary funds to keep her memory, her legacy, and her spirit alive.

Scholarships will be given out across the years to those applicants within Tri Delta at Virginia Tech who exude the confident, caring, generous, and strong spirit of Dott. This scholarship fund will help young women to study abroad, focus on school vs. having to work, and enable girls to take part in both school and Tri Delta.
