Help Me Make a 3D Short Film!
Donation protected
Hello there! I'm 39 years old and disabled (I have bipolar disorder and OCD), and am living on a fixed income. However, that hasn't stopped me from going back to school and studying hard part-time! As for why I'm here raising money . . . it's to buy a processor upgrade for my computer — an Intel Xeon E5-2690v2 Processor, to be exact — so that I can render out 3D animations more quickly and efficiently. My goal is to use this to help me produce a short animated film within the next year or so, which I can then enter into contests for scholarships to grad school, where I hope to study film production someday. So that's $2461 of the money I'm asking for.
Making a short animated film has become my DREAM PROJECT, and will be a partial adaptation of one of my stories (for I am also a writer, though my books have not sold all that well). However, up to now, I've been limited by (a) my inability to hold a full-time job (due to my illnesses and mental illuses and mediction side-effects) and (b) the availability of a high-powered processor and an easy-to-learn animation program like iClone.
And as many of you may know, living on a fixed income can be VERY difficult, even to just get by sometimes. And dreams? Forget dreams. How can you achieve them, when you're always hamstrung for cash, and when the means are priced beyond your means? That's my problem, in a nutshell, you see: My monthly Social Security Disability check isn't big enough to help me afford this stuff — even if I buy it on a credit card, which I probably wouldn't qualify for, because my credit is shot to heck and back — so hence, here I am, pleading for funding. Please help me do this . . . even if you can only contribute $5, well, if ENOUGH prople contribute just $5, then I can achieve my goals no problem! Thank you . . . and may the universe reward you with excellent karma for helping! :D
