My name is Dana Spaeth-Williams. I am an artist/photographer and a mother of three. On the heels of and inspired by Richard Martinez's wonderful activism toward more safe and sane gun laws, I created a video simply titled: "Dear Mom and Dad". It features the faces of 78 young people, each holding cards unfolding a powerful message, and inciting parents to take action! The video was launched July 20th.
On September 23rd, I received a pesonal message from RIchard Martinez thanking me for the video. I am so grateful for his support and for his continued effort to prevent others from experiencing the loss he has had to endure. My hope is that he finds a bit of peace in the knowledge that his heartbreaking and passionate plea to stop the madness has inspired action far and wide.
