"Dance Out Bullying in the Park" is a live event that will have performances by the Dance Out Bullying Dancers, helpful information for adults and children, and a showcase of local dance schools, multiple county schools, and other talent. This family friendly event is to help raise awareness about bullying.
Your donation will help cover the cost of the Amphitheater Rental,Technicians, Permits, Entry Fees for OCPS and other county schools, Printed promotional materials, Water (for participants), and the most importantly it will ensure the event is successful. Your name will also be listed in the program of donars!!!
Dance Out Bullying is small a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is determined to make big positive waves in the fight against bullying. We are committed to educating our youth and parents about the effects of bullying with interactive discussions and “real life” dance scenarios.
Almost every child in America at some point in their school life has either witnessed, participated, or fell victim to bullying. The statistics are deplorable. Did you know that 90% of 4th through 8th grade students report being a victim of bullying, 71% of students report bullying as a problem at their school, 1 out of 20 students has seen another student with a gun, 15% of all school absenteeism is directly related to fears of being bullied at school, and suicide is the leading cause of death among children under the age of 14? This is unacceptable!!
