Emergency Shelter for the Homeless
Tax deductible
A new Emergency Night Shelter will open at Downtown Daily Bread from December 1, 2017—March 31, 2018. There will be 30 beds available for homeless men who would otherwise be unsheltered. Planning, programming, and fundraising for the shelter is supported by ongoing collaboration with Capital Area Coalition on Homelessness, Bethesda Mission, Susquehanna Harbor Safe Haven, Christian Churches United, and the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg.
Downtown Daily Bread seeks donations of $50,000 to assist with the cost of running this shelter, which will be staffed by professionals and volunteers.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Gzehoviak at (717) [phone redacted] (ext. 105).
