Please help us raise money for the Coleg y Cymoedd learners who, despite extremely challenging obstacles and financial hardship, are commiting to and excelling in their studies.
Each year a number of Coleg y Cymoedd learners progress onto higher levels of study with us, univeristy or an apprenticeship, many of these learners come from deprived families in poor financial situations. For these learners a well-earned place in college, at a top university or on an apprenticeship is a dream come true, but will continue to be a financial struggle.
Examples of learners who will benefit from the Student Hardship Fund include Jacob Lewis who tackled homelessness to achieve 4 A* grades at A Level and secured a place to study Law at Cambridge University, and Andrew Williams whose financial hardship almost stopped him interviewing for a place studying Physics at Oxford University, which he secured with 3 A* and 1 A grade at A Level.
Your donation will be received by Coleg y Cymoedd and passed directly to learners who are in need to assist them in their studies.
The benefits of your donation will be seen immediately. Typical financial costs associated with studying are are travel expenses, study materials, living accommodation, food and drink. Any donation towards helping with their studies will make a huge difference and help them on their path to a really bright future.
