The Chad Cumming Legacy

Donation protected
Friday, August 14th, 2015 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a light went out in this world as Chad L. Cumming, Sr. passed away as the result of a motorcycle crash, he was 68. Chad is survived by his bride just 3 days shy of 46 years. He is also survived by his son Chad, Jr. and wife Jennifer, grand-daughter Sarah, grand-son Andrew. Another son Travis and his wife Karen along with three grand-sons Travis, Jr., Andrew and Justin and another grand-daughter Diana.

This is just a part of the legacy that Chad leaves in this world. Chad was a teacher. He taught history at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock for over two decades and touched the lives of more than 2000 students;  students who cherished him. He also spent a portion of his time at PA as a member of the football coaching staff. He was more than a teacher, he was a mentor and a role model and they loved him.

Some things his students have said: "Last night, a few friends and I got together and toasted his life and the way he touched people. And we spoke about death too; we realized that we are immortal by the legacy that we leave behind and the mark we make on people. Each day I think about what Mr. Cumming would do or say before I act. He is someone that I will forever look up to and attempt to mimic in my life. And because of that, his legacy will be passed on to everyone I meet or may influence."

"The world lost a precious precious person today. A true PA legend and my absolute favorite teacher, Coach Cumming He tried so hard to be rough and tough but it never worked really. He had the biggest heart and was one of the kindest people I'll ever know. He's had a major impact on my life --he's a great example of "noble character" Running into him randomly when I'm home visiting is always a treat-- his quick witted comments will be missed greatly. Rest easy Mr C... your legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of soooooo many of your students. I'm proud to be one of them. ‪#‎honoraboveall‬"

Unfortunately, since his retirement, he was unable to maintain his life insurance policy. Between prostate cancer and a heart attack a year ago they have taken a financial toll. We are reaching out to you all at this time to help his wife. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to her. If you could find it in your heart to donate any amount, it would be greatly appreciated.
