WHAT IS "COLONY ENTERPRISES" ???

Every year, companies from all around the world spend billions of dollars advertising their products and services. A single company alone can spend millions of dollars designing their website. The problem then becomes how do they get people to visit their site.

Websites that generate a lot of traffic (Facebook, Yahoo, etc.) are paid good money to send traffic to those websites.

"Colony Enterprises" is a website designed to generate large amounts of traffic, where people explore a "fantasy city of the future" offering a wide variety of places to go and things to do.

Some of the places people can visit include;

· Information Centers (covering every conceivable subject from Aviation to Zoology...)

· Common every day businesses (gift shops, restaurants, flower shops, theaters, grocery stores, barber shops, art galleries, etc.)

· Employment Centers (where you'll find lists of available jobs, business ideas, tips for finding work, creating a resume, etc.)

· Games (laser tag, paintball,demolition derbys, hand to hand combat, treasure hunts, capture the flag, card games, etc.)

· Videos (music, art, instructional, travel, comedy, animation, science fiction, drama, acting, stress management, etc.)

· Reviews (new products, services, businesses, movies, restaurants, websites, games, fashion, hobbies, cars, etc.)

· Event calendars (local and national - keeping track of what's going on locally and around the country)

· Idea Centers (need ideas for your next party? ideas for meals, hobbies to explore, places to go, vacation planning, etc.)

WHAT IS A VISIT TO "COLONY ENTERPRISES" LIKE?

Imagine sitting down to your computer. The map of a small town appears on your screen with places you'd find in any town; restaurants, banks, homes, stores, schools, etc...

Clicking any of these places will take you directly there, where (depending on the location) you'll find a selection of things to do.

Most of these places will be sponsored by "real world" businesses with links that can take you to their their websites.

WELCOME TO "SOLOMON'S CREEK"...

"Solomon's Creek" - a city built by "Colony Enterprises" is our first attempt at colonization. After years of hard work, construction of the city is finished and Solomon's Creek is open to the public.

WHAT CAN YOU "DO" HERE?

You'll find hundreds of "Information Centers" located throughout the city offering high quality presentations using state of the art videos, music, photography, simulations and special effects. The centers will be the "cornerstone" of our site, packed with all kinds of things we think you'll enjoy learning about.

Visit one of the restaurants and options might include watching a video of how their food is prepared, looking at their menu or tips on applying for a job.

Visit one of the movie theaters and you'll find movie reviews, upcoming previews, showtimes and some interesting information about the movie industry.

The more you explore - the more things you'll find to do...

IS THIS A "GAME"?

If you're into games, you'll find hand to hand combat arenas, mazes, laser tag and paintball along with all kinds of other things to keep you busy, but keep in mind - games are just part of what the site is all about.

HOW MUCH WILL ALL THIS COST?

Visit any of the businesses, information centers, homes, libraries, theaters and links to "Real World" businesses - ALL FOR FREE.

Our primary means of support is contracting with businesses to place links within our city that allow customers to visit their websites.

MAKING "REAL WORLD" MONEY

If you own a real world business (for example a Gift Shop) and you have an existing website for your gift shop, we'll build a Colony Enterprises "gift shop" in our city with a link to your "real world" website - a great way to find new customers.

If you don't have a website for your business, we can build one for you. If you don't have a real world business, this could be the perfect way to get started!

A SAFE, CLEAN, FUN PLACE FOR EVERYONE

There are fewer and fewer places on the internet where kids (as well as adults) can spend time in a safe, clean environment.

Because we want this site to be the kind of place where everyone can feel safe, the site will be heavily moderated.

Foul language, spewing of hatred, harassing other guests or using the site as a hunting ground for predators will NOT be tolerated. If this is your "thing", you'll need to find somewhere else to go...

We're not saying reasonable "mature" language or actions will be banned, but plain and simple "common sense" will be the order of the day - all complaints will be checked out and dealt with.

THREE VERY IMPORTANT GOALS FOR THE SITE:

1) To provide information on a wide variety of subjects, in a new and interesting way.

2) To give businesses a way to advertise their products and services in a way customers can enjoy.

3) To offer anyone willing to make the effort - the opportunity to make a reasonable income.

TO DO THIS "RIGHT"...

I'll need to work on this on a full time basis and I'll need outside help (illustrators, programmers, attorneys, etc).

To cover the initial costs, I've set a goal of $25,000. Once I can devote all of my time to the site, the basics should be up and running within 3 to 4 weeks. 3 to 4 months down the road, the site should be fully operational.

So please - dig down into your pockets.
