We're the Coleman family. Our family of 6 includes 4 children, ages 4, 5, 6 & 8. We are a fun-loving, positive & hard-working family. We believe in being positive examples to our commuity and to everyone around us. Though we spend a great deal of time encouraging others, we recently had an unexpected incident that really impacted our family.

Wavy TV 10 News Shares Our Story

On June 2, 2015, we experienced an electrical fire in our home that completely destroyed all of our belongings. In a typical situation, this can be devastating. What makes our situation unique is that prior to moving into our current place, we were in the process of rebuilding our lives from a bought with homelessness. In 2013, Anthony, the father & husband of our family, suddenly lost his job. This sudden job loss resulted in a chain effect of losses, including an eviction from our then home. We spent the next 13 months without our own place to stay, as we tried our very best to rebuild our lives. The good news is that through God's help, perseverance & hard work, we were able to rebuild. Anthony gained full time employment again, we found a condo to live in, and we were blessed to have an entire house full of furniture. Our lives were returning to a sense of normalcy again. When the fire occurred on June 2nd, it was a hard blow because we were once again in a position of rebuilding.

We are thankful for those who have rallied around us and want to help us, and we set up this gofundme page just for the sake of giving them a place to do so. We set a goal of $5500 with a specific goal in mind. We are in search of a new place to stay, and we will use any donations to pay for a  security deposit and first month's rent on a new place. We will also use the remaining funds to begin rebuilding furnishings and household items. This will provide a good start in rebuilding.

We are hopeful & have a positive outlook. We are simply glad to have survived such obstacles, and we will work hard to rebuild again. Thanks to everyone for hearing our story & for the outpouring of love, support and concern.

-Graciously,

The Coleman Family
