I extend to you a warm reception and welcome you to my personal education fund page! My name is Cierra (22) and I am a second year in college studying nursing. My goal is to become a traveling nurse and go on to get my NP (nursing practitioner) after working in hospitals around the U.S. for five years post-graduation.
My Passion
My passion is healing. Healing, compassion and empathy permeate my everyday and are the driving force behind my career of choice. So, it is with great dedication and with much respect to the study of nursing that I am pursuing a career in which I envision myself aiding women, men and children in need.
Why Help?
I have not been awarded any financial aid, although I am not receiving any financial assistance from my family members or any other sources. I have been reliant on scholarships up until this point, but these scholarships are running out.
If you are able to help, I, of course, thank any and all in advance for your donation.
What Do Donations Go Towards?
All funds go towards tuition costs ($21,000), cost of books ($2,500), transportation (as my school campus is a 40 minute drive away and this is a necessity), and food ($500). I see this goal of $24,000, which only just covers these essential costs, to be met in order for me to become a certified RN (registered nurse), and then I will work from that point and save up in order to pay for my NP (NP costs not included here).
The Future
Best case scenario, I visualize 1,200 people donating $20 each or 600 people donating $40 each.
As I am extraordinarily thankful for any and all help, I will reiterate: Thank you for supporting me and my educational development.
I hope to pay forward anything that is given to me via my work as a nurse.
