Chris's Campaign to Save the Glades

Donation protected

Hello my name is Christopher Ramos and I’m 9 years old and in the 4th grade at Vineland K-8 in Miami Florida. Last week I learned about the Everglades in Mrs. Sellek and Mrs. Moreno’s class. I am a nature and animal lover and I became very worried to learn about threats to the panthers, manatees and alligators. I came home that day and told my dad I was going to save the Everglades. I told him I was going to put up flyers in the neighborhood and have a bake sale but he had a better idea. So we decided to do a bike ride at shark Valley to raise money for The Everglades Foundation. My brothers and I love shark valley, it’s a 15 mile loop in the Everglades where you see all kinds of wildlife and can climb a cool observation tower. The idea is to collect pledges for every mile we ride. For instance if I get someone to pledge a dollar per mile, I will raise 15 bucks for Everglades protection and restoration. My research shows that there are major threats to the Everglades like:

Water Control
Introduced Species
Development

So it’s going to take a lot of money!

My goal is to raise over 2 thousand dollars through my Gofundme page. So, please help me raise money to save the Everglades.

All proceeds will go directly to the Everglades Foundation.

My bike ride is scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at 9:00am.  Please consider donating at least $1.00 per mile which is a $15.00 donation.  Thanks in advance!
