Chandler Stars Baseball Tournament

The Chandler Stars Baseball Team is made up of 13 boys who play in a recreational level baseball league - Chandler Youth Baseball (CYB). These boys worked hard and earned themselves a spot on the Chandler All Star Team.
Over this past weekend the Chandler Stars played in the state tournament and despite the 100+ degree weather they won! We are excited to share that the team is advancing to the PONY World Series in San Marcos California in July 2016.
Our goal is to raise money to get the players of the Chandler Stars to the tournament. Money raised would help with travel expenses, lodging, meals, etc. for the 5 days that they will be at the tournament.
Please help us provide the opportunity for these young players to participate in a once in a lifetime experience.

For those of you not familiar with our story:
Chandler Youth Baseball (CYB) is a locally run, non-profit baseball league for kids, ages 3 thru 18, formed in 1969. In 1998 CYB became associated with PONY Baseball of America. CYB is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors.
PONY stands for "Protect Our Nation's Youth". PONY Baseball of America is a non-profit corporation started in 1951, and is a national competitor to the better known "Little League". As a member of PONY baseball CYB may enter teams in post-season PONY tournaments.
The Chandler Stars are 7 and 8 year olds on various CYB teams in a machine pitch league led by volunteer coaches. After a full Spring season of baseball they were given an opportunity to try out for an All Star team. These 13 players were given the opportunity to participate on the Chandler Stars team. They practiced hard and have dedicated their summers so far to this sport. The Chandler Stars competed in the Arizona State PONY tournament and won the Machine Pitch division. The players are ecstatic about the opportunity to represent Arizona, represent Chandler, and ultimately play baseball in California.
