Volunteer Trip to the Philippines

I am attempting to fund a trip to join ongoing reconstruction efforts led by the non-profit organization projects-abroad.org.  Cebu Island, in the Philippines, took the brunt of a major typhoon in November of 2013.  Projects-abroad is part of an ongoing campaign to rebuild the infrastructure of Cebu and I want to devote eight weeks of my summer to join them in this cause.  

As I quickly found out when I started searching for volunteer opportunities online, volunteering is expensive!  To volunteer for eight weeks, Projects-abroad requires a fee of $4260, which covers accommodation, transport from the air port, food, insurance, and a few other services.  What is not included in this price is the cost of air fare to the Philippines, which, through online searches, I have estimated to be around $1700 for a round trip.  On top of this is an application fee of $295.  With any other unexpected expenses, I have estimated this will all cost about $6500, so that is what I am asking for.

Being a broke college student, I certainly can't afford this trip on my own, but I have heard good things about this crowd funding phenonenon and I figured I would give it a shot.  Please be generous and help me help these people to rebuild their broken dreams.
