Terese's Dream: Perform in N.Y.C.

Isn't this a lovely view? Carnegie Hall is stimply stunning. All my life I've held a secret dream of being on this stage, whether it was as a trombonist or a singer, and see the view shown here (but with people in the seats, of course).

AND I have the chance to fulfill this bucket list item!!

The chorus I sing with year-round at the local junior college was invited to take part in one of the Distinguished Concert International (DCINY) performances on June 7, 2015. The combined chorus from various choirs across the nation will be singing two Requiems in this historic location. There are about a dozen brave souls from my chorus who will travel to New York to join up with many others for a weekend of rehearsals and the final performance. This is an opportunity I can't turn down!

However, as I'm sure you are aware, travel isn't cheap (and there's a registration fee). All told, I'll need to gather about $1,800 for this trip for the various expenses. As a mom of three, you can imagine where my money usually goes. So I'm reaching out to my friends and family. Every little bit gets me closer to this dream!
