Hi everyone! My name is Carlyn Harris and I am a sophomore at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University studying Global Health and Microbiology.
This summer, through ASU's School of Human Evolution and Social Change, I will be participating in the Community Health and Medical Anthropology Field School in Antigua and Acatenango Guatemala! I will be there for about 6 weeks researching perspectives about maternal healthcare and ideal family size among the indigenous people. This research will be primarily through interviews (in Spanish, which is awesome).
I'm so excited to take this journey but need your help. This trip is going to be around $7,000 total so I am so thankful for any support you can give. Check out the video for more information about what I will be doing in terms of research in Guatemala. Thank you!
