We are the Colorado Saint Bernard Rescue(CSBR), a 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rehoming of unwanted, neglected, abandoned, and abused St. Bernards. This month we have had excessive vet bills that have wiped out our bank account and we really need help financially.
We have multiple saints undergoing months of expensive heart worm treatments. Then we have Emerson, a poor one year old with a host of medical issues. Our vet found a stick wedged in the roof of his mouth that had been there for months. It had embedded itself into his gums which resulted in emergency surgery. Plus he underwent a neuter and gastroplexy surgery and 2 elbow surgeries. And then the poor guy ended up with an infection and is continuing to need additional vet care.
Also some exciting news: we had a Saint named Persephone come into our rescue this week, ALONG WITH 8 PUPPIES that were born today! While we are thrilled the puppies came out healthy despite the neglect their mom has endured during her pregnancy, the vet bills for 9 more dogs is overwhelming our joy.
And we haven't even mentioned the other new saints we took in this week that need full intake vet examinations.
If you can't tell we are struggling and we desperately need financial support to make it through this month. Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you so, so much.
