Concert 4 Krystina

So many words can be used to describe Krystina Lawson-Gilbert.  Stong. Beautiful. Caring. Intelligent.  While all those words are wonderful and describe her well, the one word that really sums her up would be SURVIVOR.  Since 2011 Krystina has been fighting brain cancer, a grade 2 oligodendroglioma that she has nicknamed "Constance",  and kicking its butt.  On March 17th of this year she went in for brain surgery and has subsequently been working her way through radiation and chemotherapy.  Through all of this she has remained an inspiration to not just those with brain cancer but to everyone.  She is amazing.  I could think of no better way to celebrate all that is Krystina than to have a benefit in her honor.  A way to raise money to help her through the monetary troubles of the process and also to just have a good time.  August 14th we will come together to rock out for the best cause ever!  Musical stylings of Those Crosstown Rivals, Ned Van Go and Derek Spencer and Chip Minks of The Rooster's Crow.  We are requesting a donation of 5 dollars for entry to the event which will be held at Al's Bar in Lexington KY.  Can't make it?  Don't worry, you can still donate to help make this a successful benefit.  If you feel like donating more we will make sure to throw you something extra special in with the ticket.  On hand at the event will be merchandise for sale to commemorate the event.  All profits from tickets, merch and donations, aside from those needed to reserve the venue, will be going directly to Krystina.  Let's band together to show Krystina how much this community supports her.
