CHKC Youth Program

As our year approaches its end we have done much reflecting on things that have gone well, things we could improve on and changes that could be made to benefit our Youth Organization. We have many new and exciting thing we’re going to try to build our Youth program since they are truly the future of this sport we love so much! One change to be made is I will be taking over as President of our Youth Program. I’d like to thank Joe Nemecek for all the hard work, time and effort he put into the program to get it started. He’s done everything from gathering donations, judging and guiding at our Youth World, giving speeches and making sure all of the kids are taken care of and having a great time. He is truly an outstanding man and we were lucky to have him on board with us!
Now for some other changes you will see coming up through this next year. There will be a Youth Article in every magazine now. We will cover everything from Youth race leaders, a youth getting their first cast win, youth showing great sportsmanship, youth hunts that are held, anything to showcase these youth and all their efforts put into hunting! Also after looking into it and having it suggested by many of our members we will now have a GoFundMe account set up to support our Youth. In the past we have had our Youth World Hunt every year, which is great and we will continue, but the donations made to that hunt allowed us to give a large amount of money away to a smaller group in one area. With this account it will allow us to take donations year round and be able to spread it out to offer other Youth hunts in other parts of the country. We are very excited to add this to our Program!
Any club interested in hosting a Youth Hunt can contact CHKC. We’d like to have at least 4 months notice to be able to advertise and make each hunt the best we possibly can. Anyone with any questions on our Youth Program please feel free to contact me at the office. We hope with everyone’s help and efforts we will continue to grow this Program and offer our Youth the best we possibly can!
