Reunite My Boyfriend & I-3561 miles

Donation protected
Thank you SO much to everyone who has shared their love and support andddddddd money with us. We are beyond shocked and grateful BUT we did forget to factor the amount the GoFundMe takes out of our earning and the expenses of life when he is here sooooo it's not too late to donate if your heart desires to do so<3 We will be in Grand Rapids Thursday-Sunday, celebrating St. Patricks Day on Irish on Ionia and headed to my sorority formal thanks to all of your kind donations for making this amazing whirlwind adventure possible!!!

Now I know this request might seem insane but please let me try to explain without sounding too vain. See four summers ago, two kids fell in love. It just so happens that distance was an issue, well at least sort of. The ocean separated them for many months at a time and now these two are trying to reunite with the help of your dimes. See $1 is all they plead. 100 pennies from 735 of you is all they need. If you have some coins laying in a jar and feel like passing them on from afar, you would be our shining star.

I feel so silly even thinking that I am worthy of a cause but there is no chance of bringing this dream to life without the help of others so I figured at least a little bit of background information may help warm the idea of donating to a couple that more than anything just wishes to be reunited.

My Story: In third grade I was diagnoised with type one diabetes. A disease I didn't even know existed as a carefree nine year old and one I instantly convinced I was going to die from in that hospital bed right then. Thankfully that isn't the case but there have been some trials and tribulations along the way associated with my broken pancreas. One of the many perks I was able to create was my one week stay at diabetes camp during the summer at Camp Midicha. Camp Midicha allowed me to feel normal again as I was surrounded by children with the same condition. I continued to attend throughout the remainder of my eligbility for the next ten years. In 2010 I switched roles from camper to counselor and was able to help others feel the comfort I had been provided. In 2011 I became not only a counselor at Camp Midicha but for the reminder of the summer at the host camp, YMCA Camp Copneconic.

Richard's Story: Richard is an English citizen. In the United Kingdom, summer camps do not exisist but a program called Camp America does exisit. Camp America provides internationals the oppurtunity to come over to America to expereince a summer working at a summer camp while making incredible memories. There are hundreds upon hundreds of camps that offer internationals a chance to work at their camp after going through an interview placement. Richard signed up for Camp America and scored himself a placement with YMCA Camp Copneconic (sound familiar?) In the summer of 2011 Richard and I became co workers...

Our Story: From co-workers to boyfriend and girlfirend it did not take long for his british accent to whoo me over. We spent the summer bonding over our love of children and everything and anything else inbetween. Just like Danny and Sandy, the summer quickly ended leaving an 18 year old Richard and a 19 year old me faced with a tough decision....do we dare go the distance? Indeed we did and have ever since. We have spent the past three and a half years with 3,561 miles seperating us from Liverpool England to Grand Rapids Michigan. Richard and I have continued to fall deeper and deeper in love which makes the distance tougher and tougher but always worth while but that doesn't make it any easier.

As Richard and I have spent majority of our relationship seperated I have been fortunate to have my sorority sisters to lean on as my step in boyfriend when times get tough and Richard is an ocean away. I am forever grateful for them and Richard is forever indebted to their kind actions to protect me in his absence.

How Can You Help? On March 14th I have my final sorority formal dance. Every sorority formal I have attended solo but this one, I would truly love Richard to accompany me. This is one of the last oppurtunities I have for my two worlds to collide of people that I love most all in one place at one time (Alpha Sigma Tau and my boyfriend) I would love nothing more than to be able to spend the night dancing the night away with Ricahrd and my sorority sisters. Unfourtnantly as we are both graduating seniors, we do not have a dime to our name to do so. A plane ticket is priced at $735 dollars from England to Michigan. I am hoping to reach out to as many people as possible in hopes of reuniting my boyfriend with me. Genuinely any donation is one that will peremenantly place a smile on my face (well at least until I have to drop him off at the airport to head home) I guess I am looking for a fairy god mother to help bring Cinderella and her Prince Charming together again for night together. Thanks for reading and maybe even leaving a nickel, a dime, and a penny too?

Sending all of my love from Grand Rapids, to Liverpool, and back <3 Thank you!
